The number of coronavirus infections in Poland is growing faster and faster. Yesterday, the health ministry informed about 4,280 new cases – this is the largest number of people infected since the beginning of the pandemic. This infamous record was broken in just 24 hours – on Wednesday there were 3,003 infected. Yesterday, the ministry also announced the death of 76 people suffering from COvid-19. – As reported by the World Health Organization, 338,779 new infections were recorded only on Thursday, which is the highest result since the beginning of the epidemic.
One should not be surprised by the increase in the incidence of Covid-19 as Fr.for years, experts predicted such a situation – told PAP virologist Prof. Krzysztof Pyrć from the Jagiellonian University.
The expert emphasized that in the fall, factors contributing to the transmission of the virus appeared – it concerns environmental factors such as air temperature and humidity, as well as human habits, including more time spent in closed and crowded spaces.
