The Municipality expanded this morning the information of the official part issued last night and specified that of the 38 new cases coronavirus positives, 14 correspond to the Houssay Hospital, 13 to the clandestine fishing company, 9 are related to the Námaste geriatric and there are 2 people in epidemiological investigation. In addition, it was confirmed the death of a 101-year-old nursing home resident, the sixth fatal victim in Mar del Plata since the start of the pandemic.
Of the 14 new infections in the hospital that depends on PAMI, 7 are close contacts of confirmed cases, 3 are health workers and 4 are patients of the institution, said the director of SAME, Juan Di Mateo.
Regarding the nursing home, 9 people were confirmed, of whom 2 are close contacts of Covid-19 positive cases, one is a health worker and 6 are elderly residents of the place.
In addition, 13 close contacts of confirmed coronavirus cases belonging to the illegal fishing company whose headquarters are located in Alejandro Korn at 3000 were confirmed.
Lastly, there are 2 new people confirmed with Covid-19 of whom The epidemiological link is being investigated.
Of the 38 confirmed patients, 4 remain hospitalized, 6 are in the nursing home, and 28 are in home isolation.
The Municipality also confirmed through the director of SAME that in the last hours a 101-year-old woman passed away, resident of the nursing home, who stayed in the Private Community Hospital (HPC)
Thus, to date, 279 confirmed cases are registered in Mar del Plata, of which 228 people are under treatment, 45 are recovered from the infection and six died.
