Coronavirus. Orelsan collects € 68,200 thanks to the auction of its gold records

Rapper Orelsan has raised € 68,200 for hospitals, in the midst of a coronavirus health crisis, by selling his gold records at auction.

Thursday April 23, 2020, rapper Orelsan had announced that he was putting five diamond, gold and platinum discs at auction. A good action to collect funds for hospitals, in the context of the coronavirus epidemic. The auction organized by Drouot Digital ended shortly after 9 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2020.

In total, the sale of the rapper’s five discs from Caen (Calvados) raised around € 68,200. The biggest bet was placed on the diamond disc for the album ” The party is over “ released in 2017, with € 19,800.

Money for the Emergency Aid Fund

Follow the double platinum disc for the album ” mermaids’ song “ released in 2011 and which went for € 18,800, and the gold record awarded for the first album of flow-breakers released in 2013, which found takers at € 11,200. Also sold were the platinum record for the music for his film “How It Is Far” released in 2015, and the platinum record for the album “Lost in Advance” released in 2009.

The auction took off as planned, at the end. Before 19h, the total amount collected will not exceed € 25,000, before therefore ending at more than € 68,000.

“The fruit of this auction will help the Fondation des Hôpitaux de France,” said the organizers of this operation, called “Solidarity artists”, launched by rapper Jul. The proceeds from the sale of Orelsan’s records must join the Emergency aid fund launched as part of the Covid-19 health crisis.
