Coronavirus: no additional tax on banks and insurance

Should insurers contribute more to the bill for the 110 billion euro plan to save the French economic fabric? This question animated the ranks of the National Assembly Friday, during the examination of the second amending budget since the beginning of the confinement.

Nearly 80 deputies, most of them from the left wing of the majority, presented amendments aimed at making the bankers and insurers, relatively spared from the coronavirus crisis, contribute to the funding.
