Coronavirus. Mexico exceeds 150,000 dead threshold

Mexico exceeded the 150,000 death toll on Monday Covid-19, after having identified in the last 24 hours 659 additional deaths, according to official figures.

The health authorities also indicated that they had registered 8,521 new cases, bringing the total number of contaminations to 1,771,740. The occupancy rate of hospitals stands at 60% in the country.

4th bereaved country in the world

Mexico, the fourth country most bereaved in the world by the pandemic, last Thursday reached new records of deaths (1,803) and contagions (22,339) in 24 hours, according to health authorities.

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, 67, announced on Sunday that he had tested positive for Covid-19, although his symptoms were mild.
