At the cutoff of this Monday, March 29, Mexico accumulated 201 thousand 826 deaths from Covid-19, that is, 203 deaths more than the previous day, reported health authorities during the evening conference on coronavirus in the country.
Likewise, it was detailed that the country added 1,292 infections in the last 24 hours, which amounted to 2 million 227 thousand 842 confirmed cases.
With these figures, Mexico ranks thirteenth in the world in number of infections and third with the most deaths from the pandemic, behind the United States and Brazil, according to the US Johns Hopkins University.
Regarding the details of the vaccination plan, the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo Lopez-Gatell, explained that this Monday at the cut-off of 4:00 p.m., at the national level, they were applied 171 thousand 787 doses from Covid-19 vaccine.
It also reported that since the beginning of the national vaccination strategy, a total of 7 million 018 thousand 449 doses, of the 12 million 334 thousand 445 doses received so far.
On the lawsuit filed by the PAN deputy in Mexico City, Federico Döring Casar, before the General Prosecutor’s Office (FGJ) of the capital against Hugo López-Gatell, “for crimes against public health and a clear attack on humanity,” the undersecretary pointed out that everything seems to be about political notoriety facing the next electoral process.
During the afternoon conference, López-Gatell shared statistics on the legal processes and complaints who has received the Health Secretary.
“We have received in the Ministry of Health more than 600 amparo procedures in which they point to the Ministry of Health as responsible, many of these have been rejected in the court of first instance, it requires important work,” he said at the same time who thanked and recognized the work of the legal team of the agency.
He added that there are more than 1,500 legal procedures that are known and about criminal complaints, he said, four are known that came to light through the media, of which they have not received official notifications.
Portable rapid test detects viruses and variant types
