Between October 1 and October 7, there were an average of 57.4 hospital admissions per day due to coronavirus, an increase of 6% from the previous reporting period. In total, 733 Covid-19 patients are still hospitalized, including 195 patients treated in intensive care.
Between September 28 and October 4, 7.1 people died per day on average from the virus, down 18% from the previous seven-day period. The toll now stands at 25,665 dead since the start of the pandemic in Belgium.
