Pfizer plans to request that its coronavirus vaccine be licensed for children starting at age two next fall. The company foresees that before September the results of the tests that are already being carried out with minors will be available to verify the effectiveness of their serum and the necessary doses. Pfizer’s vaccine was the first to receive the green light, last May, for children between the ages of 12 and 16, first in the United States and then in the European Union. The next step, says the pharmacist, will be to study the results of its formula in babies between six months and two years. The United Kingdom reported 18,270 new cases of Covid-19 on Saturday, the largest daily increase since February 5, and 23 deaths. British health authorities warn that the number of infections has increased progressively over the last month.
