Coronavirus July 21. Mexico exceeds 40,000 deaths from Covid; there are 356 thousand cases

The Ministry of Health reported that Mexico exceeded the 40 thousand deaths by Covid-19 when accounting for 40 thousand 400, an increase of 915 compared to yesterday, as well as 356 thousand 255 positive cases to the new coronavirus, 6 thousand 859 more than yesterday.

At a press conference, José Luis Alomy, Director of Epidemiology pointed out that according to estimates, at this time the number of confirmed cases to Covid-19 would be 395,570 and 42,289 deaths.

The official reported that since the first positive case for SarsCoV2 was registered in Mexico, a total of 227,165 patients have recovered.

Refering to hospital occupation, He mentioned that throughout the country there are 30,382 general beds to treat respiratory disease, of which 16,607 are available and 14,225 are occupied, so there is an occupation of 46%.

While in critical beds, or that have a mechanical fan, there are a total of 10 thousand 211, of which 6 thousand 399 are available and 3 thousand 812 occupied.

In general beds, Tabasco has the highest hospital occupation with 78%, followed by Nayarit with 78% and Nuevo León with 76%, while in intensive care beds Tabasco has an occupation of 66%, Nuevo León 63% and Baja California 55%.
