Rome, 20 September 2020 – The new one bulletin on the epidemic from Coronavirus in Italia, on the day ofelection day, marks a slight decline in new cases and deaths, compared to the previous 24 hours. In the meantime, the whole country has been at the polling stations this morning constitutional referendum on the cut of the parliamentarians and the regional e municipal e the focus is on anti-Covid measures. After the opening of the schools, in fact, the elections represent the second test bench in this moment that sees one growth of infections also in our country. It’s at Genoa today a polling station has already been closed (and then reopened) for a suspected case of Covid. In the meantime, in the rest of the world, the pandemic continues to run: in Europe France has reached almost 13,500 new cases, while also in Germany it is a record of cases and in Madrid new lockdowns are imposed.

The numbers of the Regions
Lombardy, 221 new positives and 5 deaths
With 14,926 swabs carried out, they are 211 the new positive cases in Lombardy for a swab / infected percentage equal to 1.41%, an increase compared to yesterday (1.11%). There are 5 deaths for a total of 16,922 deaths in the region since the beginning of the pandemic. I’m ICU admissions are on the rise (+2, 38 in total), those in the other departments decreased (-7, 264). Among the provinces, that of Milano it is always the most affected with 81 cases, of which 46 in Milan city, followed by Brescia (30), Monza and Brianza (21) and Bergamo (20).
Emilia Romagna: 115 infections
I’m 115 new positive cases in Emilia Romagna (yesterday there were 133) of which 50 asymptomatic, and two died in the last 24 hours. These are the main data, updated at 12, contained in today’s bulletin with the numbers of the spread of Coronavirus in Emilia Romagna. Few swabs, just over 7600 against nine thousand yesterday. The average age of the new positives is just over 40. Active cases are 4,529 (+91), 95.8% with mild symptoms in isolation at home. Hospitalizations are decreasing. Since the beginning of the Covid-20 epidemic, 34,340 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia Romagna. There are 16 new infections linked to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if arriving from non-Schengen countries and one swab if returning from Greece, Spain, Croatia and Malta . The number of return cases from other regions is 5.
Lazio, 165 cases
In Lazio they are 165 the new positives to the Coronavirus, compared to the previous day.
Tuscany, 147 new positives
In Tuscany there are 13,812 cases of Coronavirus positivity, 147 more than yesterday (52 identified in the course of tracing and 95 from screening activities). New cases are 1.1% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grow by 0.2% and reach 9,704 (70.3% of total cases). The tests performed reached 676,932, 8,036 more than yesterday. The currently positives are 2,956 today, + 4.6% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 109 (stable compared to yesterday), of which 23 in intensive care (2 more). Today there are no new deaths.
Veneto: 173 cases and 4 deaths
They are registered in Veneto 173 new infections from Coronavirus, compared to yesterday, with the total reaching 25,782 e 4 new deaths, which brings the total to 2,162. The regional bulletin reports it. The current positives are 3,093, 48 more than yesterday.
Piedmont, 98 more
There are 34.339 (+98 compared to yesterday, of which 59 asymptomatic) the cases of people so far tested positive for Covid-19 in Piedmont, divided as follows on a provincial basis: 4290 Alessandria, 1940 Asti, 1119 Biella, 3295 Cuneo, 3202 Novara, 17.140 Turin, 1644 Vercelli, 1209 Verbano- Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 290 residents outside the region, but in charge of the Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 210 cases are being processed and territorially assigned. There are 7 hospitalized in intensive care (+1 compared to yesterday). Patients not in intensive care 142 (+2 compared to yesterday). There are 2177 people in home isolation The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 668.312, of which 373.272 tested negative.
The other Regions
Contagions rising in the Market: in the last 24 hours there are 31 positives. On the other hand, there are 21 new cases of Coronavirus in South Tyrol. Another 50 positives in Puglia and one death. Also in Sardinia 72 infections from Covid and 117 in Campania.
