The employees of the Inditex stores reiterate their complaintthey keep working without proper security measures. They demand from the company that part of the equipment they have brought from China is distributed among the workers. This March the employees have asked the company to allow them to go home due to the significant drop in work volume.
The textile giant’s sales had fallen only in the first 15 days of the month by 25%, both in store and online. This impact affects warehouses, where activity has been reduced. The workers demand protection although they consider that Inditex should choose to send them home.
“For propaganda, they do their best because it is cheap because of the economic performance they get,” said a spokesman for the workers. He points out that the multinational intends to “keep production to the limit, as in the warehouse,” and in such a situation “the last thing is health.”
