VIETNAM DETECTS A NEW VARIANT BETWEEN INDIA AND BRITISH
Vietnam’s Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said on Saturday that the country has detected a new variant of the coronavirus, which is a mix of the Indian and UK variant, and it spreads rapidly through the air, according to the VnExpress newspaper.
This hybrid strain, of which currently sequencing the genes of the virus in patients in Vietnam shows that there are two common strains, India and England, is contagious more quickly. According to Minister Long, the characteristics of this outbreak are rapid transmission, the virus spreads widely and strongly in the air. The pathogen shedding rate is also very fast.
The infectious cycle of this virus strain is only 1-2 days, that is, after those days there is another infected F layer. The number of infections that can be transmitted is exponential. Until now, Vietnam had registered a total of 7 episodes of nCoV, They include: B.1.222, B.1.619, D614G, B.1.1.7 (British variant), B.1.351, A.23.1 and B.1.617 .2 (Indian variant).
