Venezuela reaches 3,970 deaths from coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic
A total of 15 people have died in the last 24 hours by COVID-19 in Venezuela, bringing the total death toll since the start of the pandemic to 3.970, as reported this Friday by the Minister of Communication, Freddy Ñáñez.
In the last 24 hours, the authorities detected 1,376 new infections, all by community transmission. Venezuela registers 10,737 active cases, of which 10,403 are being treated in the public health system and 334 in private clinics.
In this way, Venezuela reaches 331,112 confirmed cases of COVID-19, always according to official figures, since the beginning of the pandemic, although 316,405 patients have already recovered, representing 96% of the total.
The central state Miranda, which houses part of the metropolitan area of Caracas, is the region with the most new cases, 500, of which 211 were located in Christopher Rojas, 52 in The Salias.37 in Paz Castillo, 31 in Simon Bolivar 31 and 31 in Independence.
