THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC REACHES 39 MILLION RECORDED CONTAGES AND 1.1 DEATHS
With more than 349,000 new cases during the last 24 hours around the world, the coronavirus pandemic continues this Saturday the upward trend that it has registered throughout the week until exceed the approximate total of 39 million infected people and 1.1 million fatalities, according to the balance published updated at 08:00 by Johns Hopkins University.
As reported by Europa Press, In total, 39,329,770 people have contracted the virus, of which more than half are in the three most affected countries (United States, India and Brazil), while the fatalities are already 1,104,367.
As regards recoveries, More than 27 million people have already managed to overcome COVID-19, the respiratory disease caused by the virus. India tops the list, with more than 6.5 million patients cured.
The United States continues to be the country most affected worldwide by the pandemic after exceeding eight million infections in hours. The country has already registered 218,588 fatalities, after shooting its number of daily cases to close to 70,000 (69,156 infections).
India, for its part, accumulates 7.43 million infected people and 112,998 fatalities. In third position, Brazil registers 5.2 million infected and 153,214 deaths after accounting for almost 31,000 new cases in the last day.
In the fourth position, Russia accumulates 1.36 million cases and 23,580 deaths after registering almost 15,000 cases in the last 24 hours. The fifth place is occupied Argentina, with a total of 965,609 cases and 25,723 deaths after adding 16,500 positives, followed by Colombia, with 945,354 infected and 28,616 deaths.
Then, Spain registers a total of 936,560 infected people and 33,775 fatalities, followed by France, with 876,342 cases and 33,325 deaths; balance the latter that already exceeds that of Peru, which accumulates 859,740 infections and 33,577 deaths. Follow the list Mexico with 841,661 cases and 85,704 fatalities.
