On Saturday at Nearly five thousand were to be opened at 7 am. Collection points, but not all failed to run due to lack of doctors.
According to Defense Minister Jaroslav Nad, several hundred doctors were missing in the country this morning. At. 8, the minister informed that 91 percent of workers were working. teams collecting material for testing.
According to the Slovak media, the queues in front of the collection points reach several hundred meters. The queues are more than one kilometer long to the test stands where the tests are carried out without leaving the car and they cause traffic disruptions.
According to President Czaputova, the operation was poorly prepared, mainly due to the lack of medical personnel, mainly doctors.
Prime Minister Igor Matovicz and Health Minister Marek Krajczi encouraged medics to participate in the operation, in which the salary for two days ranges from 700 to 1100 euros. The organizers of the tests managed to recruit 50 military doctors and nurses from Austria and 200 health workers from Hungary.
Participation in this unprecedented operation, which has been organized and operated by the military, is free of charge, and people who test negative will not have to comply with exit restrictions and access to shops.
People who are detected with the virus will have to remain in quarantine. Those who do not take part in the study will have limited options for leaving their homes. This solution was criticized by Czaputova, arguing that it was a form of sanction for not participating in voluntary tests.
The government hopes that the operation, in which it is estimated that nearly four million Slovak residents can participate, will reveal outbreaks and isolate infected people.
According to Matovicz, if the project fails, it will be necessary to introduce a full lockdown in the country. Collection points across the country will be closed at 22. On Sunday (November 1), tests will also be carried out from 7 am to 10 pm.
