Coronavirus in Poland. Sanepid is looking for those traveling by train on the Bielsko-Biała – Gdańsk route

People who traveled by train on the Bielsko-Biała – Gdańsk route on June 19, or traveled in the opposite direction on June 22 should contact their health department as soon as possible. One of the passengers was diagnosed with COVID-19.

PKP informed the situation in a press release. The sanepid appeal applies to passengers who traveled by train PKP InterCity 4520 from Bielsko-Biała on 19 June (departure at 04.01) to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz in car no. 6, and those traveling by train PKP InterCity 5420 on June 22 to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz – Bielsko-Biała Główna in car No. 8 (departure at 15.05).

“The State Poviat Sanitary Inspector in Krakow informs that one of the passengers traveling on these trains was diagnosed with COVID-19, therefore all passengers traveling in the above-mentioned wagons should contact the sanitary services,” reads the communiqué.

382 new cases

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health reported 382 new cases of coronavirus infection. The infections affect people from the following provinces: Śląskie (169), Wielkopolskie (107), Mazowieckie (20), Podkarpackie (20), Małopolskie (18), Łódź (10), Lubelskie (seven), Opolskie (seven), and Warmian-Masurian ( six), Podlasie (five), Dolnośląskie (five), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (four) and Świętokrzyskie (four).

The Ministry reported the deaths of 14 people infected with coronavirus, aged 66 to 97. Deaths took place in Warsaw, Radom, Zalesie Górne, Racibórz, Cieszyn, Tychy, Starachowice and Łódź. Most of the deceased – according to the ministry – had comorbidities.
