The highest daily infection score was recorded on June 8, when 599 new cases were confirmed. On April 24, the ministry reported the highest number of fatalities – it was reported then that 40 people had died.
The Ministry of Health also gave a daily “coronavirus report” on Monday. As reported by the ministry:
–
– 1797 “COVID-19 beds” are occupied, – 86 patients are connected to respirators, – 83 460 people are quarantined, – 14 469 people are covered by epidemiological surveillance, – 20 897 people recover.
In Poland, the most infections are still recorded in Silesia. However, the authorities argue that it is currently “one of the safest provinces” in the country, due to the number of tests carried out – over 200,000, including over 100,000 at the miners themselves in the mines, which were coronavirus outbreaks. The Ministry of Health argues that such a scale of research excludes the possibility of wider infection in Silesia.
