This is the first batch of vaccines, from the Moderna laboratory, intended for the aforementioned age group, which was recently included in the National Plan of Vaccinations against COVID-19. With this number of doses, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported that it is estimated to vaccinate the target population which amounts to 2,404,106 children under five.

Alexis Holguín, director of the Directorate General for Strategic Interventions in Public Health (DGIESP), recalled that the vaccination of these minors begins today, Sunday 25, in the Lima metro and the following week in the various regions.
