Coronavirus in Peru: 3,430 new COVID-19 infections are registered and the accumulated number of cases reaches 279,419 | nndc | Peru

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Sunday, June 28, that the number of positive cases of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country rose to 279,419.

It’s about 3,430 new infections, adding to the 275,989 on Saturday. This announcement was made on day 105 of the current state of emergency and social isolation in Peru.

Last Friday, the Executive Power published the supreme decree that establishes the quarantine focused on the following regions: Arequipa, Ica, Junín, Huánuco, San Martín, Madre de Dios and Áncash.

The norm also establishes a new schedule for the curfew: from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am in Lima and other cities in almost the entire country with the exception of the seven aforementioned regions.

Among the restrictive measures that are maintained at the national level, the closing of borders and the prohibition of massive attendance events such as parties and concerts stand out.
