- Cases suspects accumulated: 78 thousand 431
- Cases confirmed accumulated: 525 thousand 733
The director of epidemiology, José Luis Alomia explained, which has reduced the cases of contagion by 2 percentage points. He recalled that a call has been made to state governments to increase and keep in force actions for vulnerable groups such as pregnant women.
ENSANUT announced
About the National Health and Nutrition Survey (ENSANUT), Teresa Shamah Levy, explained that it is a survey addressed to all households in Mexico and in which all the inhabitants of Mexico will be included in a probabilistic way with the exception of all those places such as prisons, hospitals, orphanages, etc.
“We are going to carry out the survey, every year from 2020 to 2024, to be able to have state representation and by socioeconomic, urban and rural strata […] this will be the first year that we carry out the continuous ENSANUT that will have a very strong component of COVID-19 and the survey will be called covid in health due to the importance of health and well-being in the pandemic “
He stressed.
In front of representatives of the media, Shamah Levy said that “9 regions will be visited to measure antibodies to Sars Cov-2 (COVID-19) in 12 thousand homes ”.
