Coronavirus in Mexico: Almost a million infected

The Mexican health ministry announced on Sunday (November 8) 5,887 new cases of coronavirus infection. Their total official number increased to 967,825.

Another 219 people died. The total number of deaths from COVID-19 is now 95,027.

According to the authorities, the actual number of infected and dead can be much higher. Not all patients report to clinics and hospitals, and few tests are carried out in the country compared to other countries.

Mexico is the fourth most affected country in the world by the number of COVID-19 deaths. The USA opens the list. Brazil and India are second and third.
