Prince William calls for vaccination: “No to fake news”
Prince William warned his British fellow citizens against anti-vaccine messages on social media, in a video posted last night following a similar appeal made on Tuesday by her grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. “Social networks are sometimes flooded with rumors and misinformation,” the Duke of Cambridge said in a video released by Kensington Palace that shows him with his wife Kate talking to two clinically vulnerable people who may soon receive their first vaccine. In one of the scenes, a woman named Shival who suffers from type 2 diabetes says she read many posts on social media that initially made her “a little nervous” about getting the vaccine. “We have to be a little careful about who we believe and where we get our information from,” the prince tells him. “Catherine and I are not medical experts at all, but we wholeheartedly support vaccination: it is really very important,” adds William.
