China, Xi’an eases lockdown with zero contagions
Xi’an, the capital of Shaanxi, has partially resumed public transport, breaking the total lockdown, such as that of Wuhan at the beginning of 2020, after yesterday, for the first time since December 9, the city has not recorded any cases of domestic transmission of COVID-19. The authorities have announced the resumption of services in “low-risk” areas, while trains to destinations such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou have also “practically resumed operations”, reported the state network CCTV. Over 13 million people have been confined to their homes for weeks due to the worst Covid outbreak in China in recent months.
