According to the Robert Koch Institute, the total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Germany is 4.89 million, and the total number of deaths has risen to 97,198.
The institute reported an increase in the weekly incidence of coronavirus – the number of people per 100 thousand of the population who can become infected in the past 7 days – to 249 from 232 a day earlier.
