This Sunday, President Iván Duque made a new call for Colombians to learn how to live with covid-19, in the midst of the upward curve of infections that has occurred in recent days.

“It is not a viable option to lock ourselves in until a vaccine appears. We have to learn to live with this virus and we have to beat it. We beat him with a citizen culture, with physical distancing, complying with protocols, and above all understanding that we take care of ourselves and protect each other, ”said the Head of State.
In his daily space, where he answers questions from Colombians and makes announcements about the pandemic, the president called to protect life, but also jobs and the viability of companies.

“We cannot fall into defeatism believing that we have not been judicious enough, and so the only alternative has to be to shut ourselves up. We Colombians have to demonstrate that it is our discipline, our citizen culture that takes us forwardDuque said.
Of course, the head of state did not rule out that in some areas stricter measures have to be taken to contain the spread of the virus.
