Coronavirus in A Coruña: Ideas to help commerce: I pay you now and I will consume it when you open | Radio Coruña | Today for Today A Coruña

young people of Now have found the key so that local businesses have income while it remains closed because of the Covid-19 and they have launched the “We will be back” web, in which you can buy in advance, either a round of reeds or tattoos.

That is Roberto, Adrián and Sara’s grain of sand to help, without profit, the local business that has had to close its doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The idea was from the publicist Roberto Love, who wants to “lend a hand” to many entrepreneurs who need to make a profit at this time to pay rents and defray expenses, because “there are many businesses that have closed and they do not know if they will be able to return.”

“We have many freelance friends who have bars, workshops, English academies, restaurants and we knew that they were not going to enter anything since they were closed for a long time, so we wanted to try to make them have an income now and offer those plans later,” he says.

As soon as he conceived the project, he got in touch with his friend Adrián Brañas, a computer engineer from the Ensi Labs company who develops the technical part with his partners Eugenio and Modesto, and with the graphic designer Sara Freire, who is also a native of Sada, although he lives in Madrid.

“They signed up for the first one, as I told them a little, the idea seemed perfect to help people and we got down to work organizing everything via telework,” says the publicist.

In less than a week, the platform already has around thirty businesses, most from the town of Sada, but also from other nearby municipalities such as A Coruña, Oleiros and Arteixo.

At this time, they already market their plans or bonuses in establishments of all kinds such as bars, restaurants, health businesses, physiotherapists, personal trainers, gyms, small fashion stores, tattoo studios or a gourmet store.

Process

The procedure to register is very simple: the merchant fills in a form on the web and the creators contact him to resolve their doubts and to offer his products or services as soon as possible, which will be bought now and consumed after the quarantine .

The business only has to contribute four euros to cover the maintenance costs of the platform and the funds raised from the elderly will be donated to Unicef Spain for the fight against Covid-19.

They decided to charge a small amount to businesses that wanted to advertise to cover the expenses, but they realized that if many establishments joined, they could have more money than they need, therefore, and because this project wants to go “on the right track”. They agreed to donate any surplus to an NGO.

The chosen one has been Unicef for the work it does with the “Coronavirus Emergency” campaign, through which they distribute health supplies to the whole world to prevent contagion.

And they have already registered numerous purchases. “It is very focused on the regular customer, that’s why we set it up, because there are people you have affection for and you see that they are going to have a bad time, and many are willing to give a hand,” abounds Roberto Amor.

“If it is the typical bar you go to with your friends from cañas, what does it cost you to pay now five euros in beers between eight friends, which is forty euros that you give to the bar in advance,” argues this freelance publicist, who now He turns to his solidarity initiative because his usual work is also stagnant.

This is the way that the three Sadenses have found to contribute their grain of sand in this health crisis that is also leaving economic consequences. They look to the future so as not to lose hope because “that’s why it’s called Voltaremos, because we’re going to return,” says Amor.
