Coronavirus.- Hong Kong again touches the hundred cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours

China registers another fifteen cases, three of them of local transmission in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia

Hong Kong has confirmed 95 more infections this Monday, which means that the city has reached an accumulated 6,897 cases, as well as 112 deaths, while the authorities warn of the possible worsening of the fourth wave of the pandemic with the arrival of the holidays of Christmas.

The peak of this fourth wave does not seem easy to reach, after having touched a hundred new infections in the last 24 hours, after several registering similar figures. Of the last cases, 87 are of local transmission, of which there are 36 that have not been able to be traced.

The authorities have detailed that of the last 95 cases, there are 19 that belong to the outbreak that emerged in one of the city’s dance academies, a focus that has already left 645 cases of coronavirus, reports the Hong Kong newspaper ‘Apple Daily’ .

In turn, the Ministry of Health of China has confirmed on this occasion twelve cases of coronavirus from abroad, as well as another three of local transmission, located in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.

The number of imported COVID-19 cases has risen to 3,948 in China and the total number of positives nationwide to 86,634, although the death toll remains at 4,634.

Of the last twelve infections from abroad, seven have been registered in the municipality of Shanghai, as well as another two in the province of Canton. The provincial regions of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Yunnan, have each added one more positive.

On the other hand, the Health portfolio has reported that thirteen people have received medical discharge in the last 24 hours, although 281 patients continue to be admitted, six of them in serious condition. The number of recovered is 81,719.

In turn, 372 people who had had direct contact with infected people have concluded their stay in medical facilities in the last 24 hours, although there are still 5,758 under observation.
