The corona virus has broken out in three different living groups. When the infections came to light, the nursing home took measures: the nursing home has now been closed for visits from outside for two weeks and residents are in quarantine. Stricter protective measures apply to personnel.
The nursing home does not know exactly where the corona infections come from. “It can come from anywhere”, says Roy Dom of Nusantara Zorg. “Our residents have been able to receive visitors for a while and can of course just go outside again. They also visit each other again. It is really guesswork where it comes from.”
Third Gooise nursing home with corona
Nursing home Patria on the Bussumse Ceintuurbaan is the third nursing home in Gooi in a short time with corona infections. Earlier went nursing home Throwers Erf in Hilversum already locked and recently there were also residents and employees of the Bussum residential care center De Gooise Warande infected with the virus. For Patria it is the first time that residents have been infected. “We have remained corona-free for a long time. We have also done an awful lot to keep the corona virus at bay. But now we are still affected”, Dom explains.
Under control
Some of the residents who are still infected are doing reasonably well given the circumstances. “We are more concerned about the others. We also notice that residents who are not sick are worried about getting sick, but we do not panic. We hope that we now have the outbreak under control and that everything will soon be over. the back is. “
