A children’s camp ended prematurely in the recreation center in Letiny in the Plzeň region. One of the participants passed a positive test for coronavirus, Czech Television was the first to report.
There were about 80 children at the camp, said the head of regional hygienists Michal Bartoš to TN.cz. “All participants, including adults, are quarantined, but they have already been tested and the results were negative,” said Bartoš. The infection was supposed to manifest itself on Thursday, July 9.
“Before the end of the quarantine, there will be a control test, but so far this is really the only positive case,” added the chief regional hygienist.
The presence of Covid-19 was also confirmed by the administrator of the Aviation Center, Iva Páleníčková. Given that the infected person had already left the premises, she did not want to provide more information. “The camp is over,” Páleníčková said abruptly.
