Pape Diouf, the former president of Olympique Marseille, died of coronavirus at the age of 68. This was reported by Senegalese television and the French news agency.
Pape Diouf, who headed Marseille from 2005 to 2009, should have been transported by plane from Dakar to a hospital in Nice due to his health. However, since the condition of the former journalist and player agent had deteriorated further, the aircraft could not take off. A little later Diouf died on Senegalese soil.
