FIFA announces financial aid for associations, clubs and players in light of the magnitude of the corona virus crisis.
“FIFA is in a strong financial situation and it is our duty to do everything we can to help them in need. We therefore confirm that FIFA is working on opportunities after a full assessment of the financial impact of this pandemic on football to support the football community around the world, “the international association said in a broadcast on Tuesday.
FIFA has not yet announced a sum for its relief effort. The reserves of the world association currently amount to around 2.4 billion euros. “The exact format and details of this support are currently being examined and discussed in consultation with FIFA member associations, confederations and other stakeholders,” it said.
