The region of Fez-Meknes, despite a slight drop in the number of infected cases, is still marked by worrying epidemiological indicators. Here are the weekly figures from the Regional Health Delegation.
The Fès-Meknes region has identified 1,286 positive cases for Covid-19, during the period between August 8 and 15. The city of Fez continues to occupy the first place at the head of the affected cities in the region, with 581 positive cases recorded during the same period. The figures have thus fallen compared to last week: 1,333 new positive cases in the region, 921 in Fez between August 2 and 8.
The number of deaths during the same period has also seen a worrying increase. In one week, the Fez-Meknes region recorded 31 deaths, against 22 recorded the week before. The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in the region thus stands at 97.
Regarding cures, the region experienced the remission of 2015 patients during the same period, against 1036 patients cured during the week of August 2 to 8.
