Coronavirus, the bulletin of the Calabria Region updated to today 2 October

Cosenza today they register 4 new cases of which three to be returned. TO Catanzaro register 7 new positives from contact tracing. Reggio Calabriainstead, it communicates 5 new positives of which 4 from contact tracing and 1 migrant while Vibo Valentia communicates to us 2. The epidemiological data of Calabria are the best in all of Italy and all of Europe: in proportion to the number of resident inhabitants, nowhere else on the Continent are there so few cases of Coronavirus.
The number of cases in Calabria since the beginning of the pandemic is 2.020 people his 202,282 test subjects. The percentage of positives on the controlled is0,99% and it’s by far the lowest in Italy. In Calabria they have even been subjected to swabs 100.1 people for each positive. It is the most important data that testifies the number of swabs carried out compared to the real spread of the pandemic, and it is the highest number in all of Italy, confirming the very high number of swabs carried out in the Calabrian territory. Calabria, with these data, is by far the region least affected by the pandemic in Italy.

I 2.020 almost of Calabria are divided as follows into the 5 Provinces of the Region:
- Cosenza 653 cases: 36 dead, 492 healed, 10 in the ward, 120 in home isolation.
- Reggio Calabria 456 cases: 19 dead, 341 healed, 5 in ward, 101 in home isolation.
- Catanzaro 319 cases: 33 dead, 219 healed, 13 in ward, 1 intensive care, 78 in isolation.
- Croton 145 cases: 6 dead, 133 healed, 6 in home isolation.
- Vibo Valentia 116 cases: 5 dead, 85 healed, 6 in the ward, 27 in home isolation
- Coming from outside the region and abroad 283 almost
The inpatients of the “Outside the Region” setting (8) and migrants (1) have been included in the counts of the respective wards. Overall, 12 hospitalizations at the Catanzaro Hospital of which 5 refer to non-resident people. The hospitalized at the AO of Cosenza are 10; of these three are “non-resident”, while the patient discharged in Cosenza was placed in the setting “outside the region”. The total number of cases in Catanzaro includes subjects from other structures who have been discharged over time.

Note: The total number of Catanzaro cases includes subjects from other structures and provinces who have been discharged over time. It should be noted that two patients from other provinces were hospitalized at the Germaneto Polyclinic. The deceased are indicated in the province of origin and not in the one in which the death occurred. The count also includes the two Bergamo patients transferred to Catanzaro, while the numbers of the infection received after the communication of the data to the National Civil Protection are not included.
