Finally, Disneyland Paris (Seine-et-Marne) closed on Friday March 13, 2020 in the evening. The customers of this day were therefore the last to benefit from the amusement park before the closure for health reasons.

During the night of Thursday to Friday, the American management had announced a closure of the French park for Sunday, March 15 in the evening. But finally, a few hours later, the park made the decision to close on Friday evening, without notifying its customers or employees beforehand if we are to believe social networks.

Disneyland Paris announced its decision not to open on Saturday March 14 with a terse statement on its website.

The amusement park will be closed until the end of March, in response to the coronavirus epidemic.

For the moment, Disney Village, its shops, its restaurants and its Gaumont cinema, remain open … until Disneyland Paris changes its mind.

What happens to Disneyland Paris employees?

Disneyland Paris employs 17,000 cast members. Almost all employees are therefore now invited to stay at home, but certain jobs are necessary on site: security will obviously be maintained, as well as certain posts dedicated to maintenance to continue to maintain the attractions and allow the resumption of the activity as soon as the health crisis is over.
