Coronavirus death rate in China rises above 1500 | Interior

France reported the first death of the new corona virus outside of Asia on Saturday, fueling global concerns about the epidemic. Only three other deaths have been recorded outside of mainland China, in the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan.

The death toll in China in the meantime increased to 1523 after a further 143 people died in the country, most of them in Hubei. Several countries have banned inbound flights from China and major airlines have broken services with the country.
