BEIJING, Jan.24 (Reuters) – China has recorded 80 new confirmed cases of coronavirus contamination in the past 24 hours, up from 107 a day earlier, health officials reported on Sunday.
In a statement, the National Health Commission said it had recorded 65 local transmissions among these new cases.
According to commission data, 88,991 infections have been confirmed in mainland China. No additional deaths were recorded on Sunday. The toll of the epidemic in the country stands at 4,635 dead.
