Charles Michel was to be married this Saturday in Montmeyan, in the Var (France), where he has a house.
But the coronavirus and the color code decided by Belgium have been there, pushing the President of the European Council to postpone the ceremony to which Emmanuel Macron was invited in particular, reports the Canard Enchaîné.
The Var department is in fact now classified in an orange zone by Foreign Affairs, which implies that a screening test and quarantine are recommended upon return to Belgium. However, given his agenda, Charles Michel cannot afford this period of quarantine. The marriage was therefore postponed to a later date.
