Active cases of Covid 19 increase in the snaitaria area of A Coruña in parallel with the increase in PCR tests. Today we have 69 more active cases and a total of 1,114 positives. Hospital admissions have also increased, there are four more people in the hospital. There are 56, 4 are still in the UCI of CHUAC. In the last hours there have been eleven discharges in the health area.
Of the 56 people who are in the hospital, in addition to the four from the ICU of CHUAC, 47 are on the floor. For the first time since this outbreak began, there is a positive in the Virxe da Xunqueira de Cee Hospital, two in the Quirón, one in the Modelo Hospital and one in the San Rafael. 1,045 of those diagnosed are at home without symptoms or with symptoms that do not require more than home monitoring.
There have been 1,311 PCR tests that have yielded those 69 new positives that represent 5.2 percent of tests performed, the WHO indicates that the alert level should be activated above 10 percent. The health authorities insist that measures should not be relaxed to avoid a further worsening of the situation.
The figures in residences
There are no changes in the number of people infected by covid in residences in the province of A Coruña. Orpea, that of A Zapateira, continues to be the only one with positive cases and its number has not changed compared to recent days: 11 residents and four workers, all asymptomatic, as confirmed by the Department of Social Policy and the company.
