Coronavirus. Cases in Mexico by state, map as of April 14

The Ministry of Health reported that 385 cases of coronavirus were added and the death from the disease of 74 people was confirmed; so the total is 5 thousand 399 infected and deaths increased to 406.

During the afternoon conference, agency authorities explained that after getting the new coronavirus, 2,125 people have recovered from the disease.

Coronavirus cases in Mexico by state

Mexico City is the entity with the highest number of cases and it already exceeds 1,500 infections; followed by the State of Mexico and Baja California.

In contrast, Colima is the entity with the fewest cases of coronavirus, the only one with a number less than 10 and also, it has been a week without having a new infection.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Health reported one contagion and one death from coronavirus less than yesterday in Durango, although the agency has explained that the data is loaded by the state authorities and when there is an error, the same local authorities correct the information in the federal registry.

According to data from the agency, in Mexico there are nine babies younger than one year infected with coronavirus, of which six are in Mexico City, one in Quintana Roo, one in Tlaxcala and one in the State of Mexico.

While, 24 pregnant women have been diagnosed with coronavirus, of which four have died and one more is intubated in a hospital in the State of Mexico.

Mexico City is also the entity in which more deaths have been reported; followed by Sinaloa and the State of Mexico, which are the states that have reported more than 30 deaths.

Today, the Ministry of Health reported the death of the first person under the age of 25, who is a minor of two years who died in Huimanguillo, Tabasco, after being admitted yesterday to a hospital.

The lethality of the disease is greater in people 65 years of age or older, of whom 17.1 percent have died of the total number of infected; while 5.6 percent of those infected with covid-19 between 25 and 64 years of age have died.

The agency adds that 43.35 percent of people who have died had hypertension, 37.68 percent had diabetes, and 34.24 were obese.
