Coronavirus: caregivers will have priority access to mass retail

There is an increasing number of initiatives aimed at caregivers to help them in their daily lives, while they are at the forefront in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic. Latest in date: they will be able to benefit as of this Monday from priority access to most retail chains to refuel, announced the sector federation (FCD).

“All the retail chains have decided by mutual agreement to allow all nursing staff, on presentation of professional proof (badge / card from hospital or clinic), to be able to make their purchases without having to wait, neither at the entrance to the store, nor at the cash desks, at any time of the day, “said the Federation of Commerce and Distribution (FCD) in a press release.

For several days, several brands had taken initiatives to simplify the lives of caregivers in the context of their purchases, with in particular timetables reserved for them and priority checkouts. These measures are therefore extended to all of the FCD member brands (Carrefour, Aldi, Auchan, Cora, Casino, Système U, Lidl, Picard), to which the E. Leclerc and Intermarché centers have been added.

For its part, the Monoprix e-commerce site has launched its “White Portal”, a priority delivery service for caregivers which offers them, in addition, a 10% reduction.
