In Wengen, 255 employees from the hotels were tested for the corona virus on Saturday, February 20, 2021. The tests carried out showed a positive result in one person; two other people tested positive in their personal environment.
Contact tracing has been activated. The results for clarifying the virus variant are still pending. The canton medical service has currently not ordered any further measures.
The thorough testing of the hotel staff was ordered by the cantonal medical service, as employees in several hotels had tested positive for highly contagious virus variants and the transmission chains could not be clearly traced.
