Mexico added, to the cut of this August 12, to 54 thousand 666 deaths by Covid-19, with 498 thousand 380 cases of confirmed infections of coronavirus, as reported by authorities of the Health Secretary.
José Luis Alomía, general director of Epidemiology, detailed in a press conference from the National Palace that there are 83 thousand 473 suspected cases, although with 542 thousand 262 accumulated negative cases in the country.
Mexico and Argentina will produce vaccine
The President of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez, announced that his country, together with Mexico, will produce for Latin America the vaccine against the new coronavirus developed by the laboratory AstraZeneca in collaboration with the British University of Oxford.
“We hope to be able to start the production process as soon as possible,” said Fernández at a press conference, who anticipated that he would shortly communicate with the Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
