He denied rumors that he had a “severe form” of the coronavirus. “To prevent such information from spreading, I inform you: I really have a covid. I feel normal. I don’t lie under oxygen in the hospital,” he said, specifying that he is being treated according to the recommendations of a family doctor.
Skakun noted that he was on sick leave, but this did not prevent him from remotely monitoring the work of the Regional State Administration.
While Skakun is sick, the duties of the head of the Regional State Administration are performed by his deputy Mikhail Chernyak.
