Coronavirus: the Corporate Management of the GOM “Bianchi Melacrino Morelli” of Reggio Calabria announces that three deaths were recorded today. These are two women of 86 and 61 years old, and an 81-year-old man, all suffering from severe diseases concomitant with Covid infection

The Business Management of the GOM “Bianchi Melacrino Morelli” of Reggio Calabria reports that three deaths have been recorded today. These are two women of 86 and 61 years old, and an 81-year-old man, all suffering from severe diseases concomitant with the COVID-19 infection. The hospital can only join in the pain of the family members and offer them the deepest condolences. Today 277 subjects were screened for COVID-19. Fourteen of these tested positive. Following 9 hospitalizations and 2 discharges, 129 CoViD-19 positive patients are admitted to the hospital: 54 are in ordinary hospitalization in the Infectious Diseases Operating Unit, 41 in Pneumology, 24 in emergency medicine and 10 in Intensive Care . The patients so far accepted by the GOM are 294 (of these, 6 have had a double hospitalization for a total of 300 hospitalizations). 37 patients died (another 5 deaths occurred outside the Reggio Calabria hospital). Clinically cured patients are 128. The Management of the GOM continues to recommend, especially in this moment of serious emergency, the respect of the contagion prevention measures, in particular remember to respect the interpersonal distance as well as to keep responsible social behaviors to protect of everyone’s health. For the prevention and monitoring of the infection it is strongly recommended to use the “Immuni” app promoted by the Ministry of Health.
