The regional health agency reacted immediately after the confirmation of a third case of coronavirus infection in France this Friday evening. The ARS implements locally the measures recommended by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health. Travel information posters will be put up this Friday evening at Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy airports. A display will also be made in the ports.
Travelers from China
Recommendations have been issued for travelers from China. In case of symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, difficulty breathing), put on a mask, use disposable tissues, wash your hands and quickly contact the Samu center 15. Do not wait, do not leave place of residence to consult a doctor or go to the emergency room. The emergency medical service will pick up the patient, if he considers it necessary, to take him to the hospital where he will be placed in an isolated room until the case is confirmed or not.
All health services mobilized
The SAMU of Guadeloupe is warned about the conduct to be followed as well as the infectious and tropical diseases service of the CHU. In addition, the ARS sent a message to healthcare establishments and general practitioners by sending them national recommendations. They can take the attachment of the SAMU and / or contact the CHU reference infectiologist if necessary. Any report of possible cases must be transmitted by the health professionals without delay to the ARS which ensures a penalty on this subject. The Public Intervention Unit (CIRE) of Public Health France will participate in the validation of cases and in monitoring the evolution of the situation alongside the ARS.
