The goal: 360 people vaccinated per week

The center will welcome volunteers over 75 and healthcare professionals, primarily over 50 or with co-morbidities, in accordance with national guidelines. The vaccination center will be located in the premises of the hospital, next to the training institute for nursing assistants, with an entrance and dedicated parking spaces, which will be signposted.

In addition to the hospital teams, “who are very invested and mobilized for the success of this vaccination campaign”, appreciates Glenn Houël, doctors (including some retirees) and liberal nurses have volunteered to lend a hand to the center. vaccination.

240 people should be able to receive the first injection of the vaccine during the first three days of operation of the center, a figure which should reach 360 people per week thereafter. “Depending on the needs, we can further increase this capacity”, anticipates the deputy director of CHIL, with a possible relocation to other more spacious premises if necessary.

“We are already anticipating this increase in load, and we hope that the niches will be quickly taken up by the population,” specifies Glenn Houël. The objective is to start the vaccination campaign as quickly as possible in the Pays de Wissembourg. Orders from the pharmacy for internal use of the Strasbourg University Hospital will be adjusted as and when required, to avoid wasting doses. “

In the event of an internet access problem, a telephone line was also activated this Friday for making an appointment.
