The City Council of A Coruña has reactivated the bicycle rental service BiciCoruña, after establishing a protocol that reinforces cleaning and disinfection measures of bicycles and facilities, in order to guarantee the safety of citizens.
Mandatory gloves
To use them, it will be mandatory to wear gloves. At first, only three bicycles will be installed at each station.
The local government considers that, by reactivating some sectors, it is necessary to facilitate mobility from neighbors in a safe manner. In addition, public transport has ceased to be among the priorities of many people from A Coruña. The bicycle, they explain, being an individual mode of transport, it allows social distancing necessary, essential to avoid contagions and comply with the regulations established in the state of alarm decreed by the Government of Spain.
New station hours during the alarm state
The stations will reopen from Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 8.30 pm. Saturday hours will be from 7.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. On Sunday and the rest of the holidays they will be closed. Bicycles may only be used for justified and permitted journeys by the authorities in the state of alarm and for the time necessary for that.
