Since the start of the Coronavirus epidemic, 35,210 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 97 more than yesterday, of which 42 asymptomatic identified as part of regional contact tracing and screening activities. The average age of new positives today is 38. Of the 42 asymptomatic, 26 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 13 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 3 with pre-hospitalization screening.
As regards the situation in the territory, the highest number of cases is recorded in the provinces of Bologna (21), Modena (14) and Reggio Emilia (12).
In Bologna and the province there are 21 new positives: 3 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 1 swabbed when returning from abroad (Morocco), 1 from another region (Sardinia), 16 swab swab in the presence of symptoms, 14 of which in the context of already known outbreaks.
In the province of Modena, out of 14 new positives, 1 was identified on returning from abroad (Morocco), 1 on returning from another region (Sardinia), 2 are contacts of known cases, 2 were identified through screening on occupational categories at risk, 1 was diagnosed thanks to pre-hospitalization screening, 1 tested positive at screening before leaving for Morocco, 6 are classified as sporadic cases.
In the province of Reggio Emilia, out of 12 new positive cases, 10 were identified within already known outbreaks, of which 7 in the family environment, 2 were classified as sporadic.
The swabs carried out are 10,580, for a total of 1,166,500. Added to these are 2,905 serological tests.
The active cases, i.e. the number of actual patients, are 4,710 to date (+25 compared to yesterday).
There are 4,492 people in isolation at home (+23 compared to yesterday). There are 14 patients in intensive care (-1 compared to yesterday), those hospitalized in the other Covid departments are 204 (+3 compared to yesterday).
The total number of people healed reached 26,016 (+70 compared to yesterday).
Unfortunately there are two deaths in the Emilia-Romagna area: a 65-year-old man from the province of Bologna and a 78-year-old woman from the province of Parma.
These are the cases of positivity in the area: 5,039 in Piacenza (+5, of which 3 symptomatic), 4,297 in Parma (+9, of which 3 symptomatic), 5,795 in Reggio Emilia (+12, of which 5 symptomatic).
Since the beginning of the epidemic Modena reaches 4,904 (+14, of which 9 symptomatic). 4,035 people have been clinically cured, of which 3,893 with double negative swabs.
2 cases (one school contact and one sporadic case) and 0 deaths today in Carpi.
