Less pressure on resuscitation services
In the Nièvre, a new death, the 21st, is to be deplored since Tuesday, May 5 in the evening within the Groupement hospitalier territory, according to Denis Thuriot, mayor of Nevers and chairman of the committee of elected officials of the GHT, which includes all Nivernais hospitals, except that of Clamecy. He is an 87-year-old man who lived in La Charité-sur-Loire. He was one of two people hospitalized the day before for a short stay at the Pierre-Bérégovoy hospital. Only one other person is currently hospitalized there.
23 patients are still hospitalized in the follow-up care and rehabilitation service of the Colbert hospital in Nevers.
Five new positive cases were detected on ten new tests carried out in the last 24 hours. This represents 273 cases out of 1,186 people tested since the start of the epidemic. 182 people are healed today (+ 8). 103 health professionals have been infected, and 68 are cured (+ 5).
A patient at the Château-Chinon nursing home has been hospitalized in Autun in recent days. It was detected positive for coronavirus. The 55 residents and 60 health personnel will therefore be tested.

Clamecy hospital is part of a group with Auxerre, Tonnerre and Avallon, in Yonne. “This is a so-called third-line hospital in the fight against the coronavirus,” explains Claudine Boisorieux, former mayor of Clamecy and still president of the hospital’s supervisory board, while waiting for his successor, Nicolas Bourdoune, take office. “It can accommodate patients who require medical supervision but does not have an intensive care unit for the most serious cases”.
The Clamecycois hospital has six beds dedicated to welcoming people affected by the epidemic. If the condition of these patients worsens and requires resuscitation, they are transferred to Auxerre or Nevers, depending on the places available. No death from the coronavirus was deplored in the upper Nivernais.
Fewer patients come to Nevers emergency room: doctors worry
In Burgundy-Franche-Comté, the epidemic confirms its slow decline, with a significant drop in the number of patients admitted to intensive care and a significant increase in the number of patients discharged from hospital.
There are currently 1,111 hospitalizations for serious forms of COVID-19, of which 114 are in the intensive care units of the region. 896 deaths have been recorded in health establishments; 2,618 people were discharged from hospital.
Why is Nièvre placed in the “red” departments?
Starting May 11, everyone should monitor themselves and their doctor if they develop symptoms that may evoke Covid-19, fever and cough in particular. If there is a suspicion of the disease, the doctor will be required to order a test and the person should remain at home until the result of the test (and beyond then if it is positive).
Thanks to the network of public and private medical biology laboratories, the region has a good territorial network to guarantee access to tests and it is fully capable of reaching the target of 3,700 to 4,700 virological tests per day set by the Ministry of Health.
The challenge of the massive deployment of virological tests is to diagnose the patients in order to isolate them individually and thus break the chain of transmission of the virus.
Education: In the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region, the pre-school year, which will concern teachers, will be organized on Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 May. The return of students cannot therefore take place before Thursday, May 14. The pupils of 6th, 5th will not return before May 18, provided that the sanitary situation allows it is possible.
“The students who choose to stay at home will not necessarily be on vacation,” recalls Jean-François Chanet, the rector of the Academy of Besançon who speaks for the entire Bourgogne Franche-Comté region. “The work of pedagogical continuity will continue with the teachers”.
The ARS did not communicate the deaths in medico-social establishments until April 3. These figures were not updated on April 4 and 6, from April 12 to 22, from April 24 to 28 and since May 1.
Confinement

Nievre
CIDFF. The information center on the rights of women and families (CIDFF) no longer welcomes the public, but leaves its telephone lines open (03.45. 52.31.14) as well as its email ([email protected]).
Trade. A directory and a map were produced in order to communicate with Nivernais consumers about open establishments or services accessible to all during the confinement period.
Immigration. The prefecture of Nièvre informs that the immigration and integration service is closed “for an indefinite period”. For persons “foreigners in a regular situation, a certain number of documents,” which would expire from March 16, “sees their validity extended by three months: long-stay visas, residence permits, temporary authorizations to residence, asylum application certificates and residence permit receipts “. The primary health insurance fund urges everyone to favor paperless contact channels. Until the containment measures are lifted, the physical reception points will be closed. In the coming days, the telephone response may be very disrupted in certain departments.

The Sieeen has closed its reception to the public but ensures continuity of remote service: for computer breakdowns via its extranet, for public lighting ([email protected], or 06.82.57.06.81 in case of emergency), for the heating network service ([email protected]), for the household waste service and any other request ([email protected]).

Nevers
Occasional and semi-occasional traders in the covered markets are authorized; permanent food traders will only be present on foreign markets, the city announces. Registrations in public schools for the next school year are suspended, the education reception is closed to the public.
Markets, recycling centers, buses, cemeteries …: the city of Nevers adapts to confinement
Merchants from Saint-Arigle have organized themselves to set up a delivery service for their customers. And they are not the only ones to offer new services during periods of containment.
A farmer’s drive has also been set up with a system of baskets of different sizes to be ordered in advance and picked up by car in the middle of the week.
Decize

Cosne-sur-Loire
A service has just been set up by the town hall to help single people who cannot get around.
An online directory is offered by the community of municipalities, indicating the name and activity of local traders and producers, who are open during the confinement period and are likely to deliver to their homes. The list is open and merchants invited to register.
Clamecy
Clamecy is no exception to the rule. A number of services and structures have had to close their doors. In parallel, the city launched a safeguard plan for the tradesmen and the craftsmen, and a local plan of solidarity to come to the aid of the fragile and in difficulty people.
