The first of the weekly points from the ARS (the other stage point is delivered on Friday), which lists the main indicators of hospital activity, confirms that 1,711 hospitalizations are underway on Tuesday in the region (i.e. -101 hospitalizations compared to last Friday’s report).
277 people in intensive care
The ARS specifies that 277 people are in intensive care and critical care (-3), and counts 3,030 deaths observed in health establishments since the start of the epidemic (i.e. +95 victims in 4 days).
231 hospitalizations in the Hérault …
In the Hérault, this Tuesday, the health authority specifies that hospitals still record 231 hospitalizations (against 241 last Friday, or -10 in 4 days) including 60 in intensive care (+6). In total, the Hérault deplores 612 deaths to date (i.e. +19 deaths in 4 days).
… and 219 hospitalizations in the Gard
In the Gard, the epidemic also continues to rage. The ARS lists 219 hospitalizations there (compared to 231 last Friday, or -12), including 41 people in intensive care (-1) for a total of 417 deaths since March 2020 (or +7 deaths in 4 days).
Vaccination: the ARS says the campaign is continuing, 4% of the regional population vaccinated
The ARS also delivers figures concerning the vaccination campaign: “The first dose of the vaccine has already been administered to 24% of over 75s and 4% of the regional population”, announces the health authority: “In total at To date, 315,915 vaccine doses have already been administered and 76,643 people are now protected by the 2 successive doses of vaccine… These vaccine doses continue to be mobilized as soon as they are received by each of the vaccination devices. The gradual increase in deliveries allows the gradual opening of new meeting slots for this end of February and then for the month of March ”.

Test: 1298 positive cases per day
4.8% positive test on average in Occitanie. “More than 207,000 tests have been carried out in the last 7 days in the region,” says the ARS, which announces that this represents an average of +1298 positive cases per day. “In total, we have 9085 positive cases from 9.02 to 15.02”, specifies the health authority.
